QuickBooks Compatible Inventory Software

Acctivate – a feature-rich inventory control program designed like an ERP. This product is good for process manufacturers (i.e., food industry), wholesalers, Ecommerce sites, as well as assembly manufacturers.  It operates on an SQL server and incorporates Crystal Reports for the reporting function. Also includes customer relationship management (CRM) functionality, EDI-capability, Field Service scheduling, and an Ecommerce solution (all sold separately).    The basic package is moderately priced with optional modules.  Price range: $3,995/3-users with common modules. Fishbowl Inventory – a robust inventory control system that works outside of QB.  It provides all of the essential inventory control functions – Purchase Order and Sales Order processing, receiving, picking, packing and shipping.  An added module for manufacturing can process work orders down to many levels of sub-assemblies.  It can connect to major web stores and shopping carts and CRMs, such as Magento and Salesforce, and has a POS module.  Perfect for light assembly and small process manufacturers.  Price range: $5,600-$6,700 (w/Mfg.)/3-users.  ‘All-in-One’ purchased product. Core IMS – a mid-range inventory management and control software, it works with QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise, and comes in a Standard PC version and an Enterprise online version, depending upon where the items are to be housed.  It does not have all the capability of a full ERP, but its strength lies in its customization.  The company behind the product is a team of developers who promise, “If you define what you want done, we can do it.”  Price range: Starting at about $5,000 depending upon features, plus 20% yearly for support and maintenance. All Orders (NumberCruncher) – provides a well-integrated inventory system that, although it works outside of QB, it still links and shares the inventory, customer and vendor information.  It is best for companies with an E-commerce presence, and is an online subscription service.  All Orders works with Pro, Premier and Enterprise.  Price range: $2,576/3-users annually.Web add-on is $3,995 with $995 maintenance each year thereafter. Rapid Inventory – formerly known as Velocity Inventory and QBES Warehouse Management, it works in Pro, Premier and Enterprise. It is Internet-based but connected to the QB file. Sales Orders and Purchase Orders can be entered into QuickBooks.Limited in capabilities but moderately priced for small businesses.  Price range: $2,160/year for three users.
